Revisions Policy
CORRECTIONS VS. REVISIONS
Corrections (No Charge): These are fixes for mistakes on our end.
Corrections cover:
-
Technical or editing errors we made
-
Missed written directions given before editing began
-
Deliverables that don’t meet the requirements clearly stated in the SOW
Corrections do not cover:
-
Preference-based tweaks
-
New creative direction
-
Changes to anything you’ve already approved
Corrections are free and don’t count as revision rounds.
Revisions (Count Toward Revision Rounds): These are client-requested creative or technical changes.
Revisions include:
-
Timing or pacing updates
-
Music swaps (from our licensed library)
-
Color or audio adjustments
-
Adding, removing, or reordering shots
-
Text or graphic updates
-
Any preference-based changes
REVISION ROUND EXPECTATIONS
All revisions must be:
-
Sent through one point of contact
-
Provided as one written list per round
-
Approved by Client before we start making changes
When a round closes:
-
It closes once you approve the list and tell us to begin
-
No new notes can be added to that round
-
Any new requests become a new revision round
-
Approval is final for that round's scope
OUT-OF-SCOPE CHANGES
(Require a New Agreement + Additional Fees)
These are not part of revision rounds:
-
Any creative direction change affecting more than 50% of the edit
-
Adding VFX, motion graphics, or animations not in the SOW
-
Creating new deliverables (social cuts, alternate formats, etc.)
-
Anything needing new filming, talent, locations, or production days
-
Major restructuring beyond the original purpose of the SOW
-
New assets not originally included (graphics packages, custom stock, etc.)
